I am Megan, the lady behind the lens here at Milis Photography. I am SO excited that you stopped by! I am a documentary photographer located in Stoughton, WI. My passion is capturing unposed everyday moments for my clients!
I am a wife to my hubby Matt and a momma of one fur baby, our calico cat named Snickers! I am an Irish girl through and through and I am incredibly proud of my Irish heritage! I am blessed with the amazing family and friends I have and I wouldn't be doing what I LOVE to do with out all of their encouragement and continued support!
Documentary photography makes my heart happy and I am always excited to do different kinds of documentary sessions! Sessions can be held almost ANYWHERE (which is pretty awesome)! Think about the activities that you and your family LOVE to do together! Whether that is playing at the park, going to your favorite ice cream shop, making s'mores around the campfire, going to the farmer's market or simply just hanging out at home for the day!
Now you may be a bit nervous about having a session in your home and that's ok! My home is far from perfect and I generally don't think that it makes a great background for photos, but can I share a little something with you??? This past February, I got to spend some quality time with two of my best friends and their families. I went into the weekend knowing that I wanted to take photos for myself. I wanted to capture moments that I would print and hang on my walls with pride. These beautiful mommas and their families are family to my hubby and I. Their sons (they each have two wonderful boys) call me Auntie Megan and call my hubby Uncle Matt and both of their oldest sons call me Fairy Godmomma!
As I looked through the photos from our time together (much of it being in my own home), I wasn't looking at the ugly carpet that has had stains since before we moved in, or the clutter on shelves, or the walls that could use a touch up or the mismatched chairs around the dining room table. Instead, I was looking at wonderful memories that were made at Auntie Megan and Uncle Matt's house! I can hear the laughter resonating, I can feel the joy that each moment brought me. I can't begin to tell you how full my heart is and how grateful I am to have these photos! You can see a few photos from that weekend below!
I would love to capture your memories, one sweet moment at a time! I look forward to meeting your and your family!
